Free Event

The English Department welcomes poets Ona Gritz and Daniel Simpson, a married couple from Landsdowne, PA, who frequently give joint readings, for a virtual reading of their poetry at SFU.  After their joint reading, Gritz and Simpson will answer questions about their creative process and about disability studies.

Gritz has cerebral palsy and Simpson has been blind from birth. They have collaborated on two books; their essays and poetry appear in such collections as About Us (Norton 2019), an anthology of essays that first appeared in the New York Times Disability series, and the groundbreaking Beauty Is a Verb: The New Poetry of Disability.
