Have you taken any beautiful photos around campus this year?
Would you like your work to be featured in a calendar?
The SFU Environmental Action Society (EAS) is hosting its twelfth annual Photography Contest, now through Monday, October 21, at midnight.
This year's contest theme is "Serenity Among the Pines"
We are looking for photos that capture the natural beauty of our campus.
Winning photos will be selected by EAS members and will be featured in a calendar to be sold shortly after the end of the contest but before we leave for the holidays.
Please send your photos by Oct. 21 to EAS president Nicole Himes at nxh125@francis.edu with "Photo Contest" as the subject line.
Prizes:
1st place: $25 Sheetz gift card & SFU nature calendar
2nd place: $10 Sheetz gift card & SFU nature calendar
3rd place: SFU nature calendar
Nine additional honorable mention winners will have their nature photo included in the calendar
Contest Rules
All photos must meet the following criteria:
1. Only photographs taken around the SFU campus and Loretto area will be eligible.
2. Photos must be from 2024.
3. Photos from all seasons, and from all areas on and around campus, are encouraged. Photos may include buildings and human-made structures, but not people.
4. Photos must be high enough in resolution for an 8.5 x 11" print.
5. Contest is open to all SFU students and employees.
6. There is a limit of 2 photos submitted per person.
