Engage with Science!

Location:  Saint Francis University Curry Innovation Center in downtown Altoona, PA

Saint Francis University is excited to offer student learning opportunities for high school science teachers and students at no cost.

Aligned with the STEELS participants will attend 3 sessions that will:

• Engage students and teachers to become conversant with theory and deployment of atmospheric balloons.
• Engage students and teachers to become familiar with the design and assembly of microsatellites (CubeSat).
• Instruct students and teachers in Arduino (microcircuit) sensor design and programming.

Teacher and Student Collaboration

All Blair County school districts may send: 

• Up to 3 high school science teachers, up to 10 students per school
• Participants should be involved in physical science and technology areas.
