  Student Government Association (SGA) welcomes you to our vibrant learning
  community here in Loretto\, Pennsylvania!  The SGA’s mission is to serv
 e as the voice of the undergraduate student body by providing representati
 on\, services\, and advocacy within the SFU experience.  It is within our 
 primary goals to cultivate strong student leadership\, to build connection
 s between students\, faculty\, and administration\, and to consistently en
 hance our campus community through collaboration and advocacy.  The SGA is
  your personal advocate and champion within the student life experience at

  to you today to inform you of two very exciting opportunities offered exc
 lusively to new incoming first-year students such as yourselves!  1.    Th
 e SGA Student Leadership Fellowship program – each year the SGA extends 
 three (3) $1\,000 fellowship awards to worthy incoming freshmen who desire
  to engage within the leadership structure at SFU to sharpen their skills 
 and abilities.  Students will represent their class in the SGA and complet
 e a brief service project to build campus connections and confidence.  Onl
 y incoming first-year freshmen students may apply for the award online HER
 EApplication materials needed: Names and Contact information for 2 referen
 ces\; Essay on Student Leadership Experiences (see beginning of applicatio
 n for prompt questions).    2.    The SFU Emerging Leaders program – eac
 h year the Center for Student Engagement identifies twelve (12) incoming f
 reshmen who have exemplified leadership and service in their high schools 
 and hometown communities and have a strong desire to refine their skills. 
  The SFU Emerging Leaders program is coordinated by the SFU Chapter of the
  National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS).   Freshmen students ma
 y apply online to be selected for this prestigious group by clicking HERE

 trongly encourage you to complete these two applications as soon as possib
 le\, as both programs are limited in availability and are very popular amo
